Today we took part in National eSmart Storytime 📚💻

Run by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, this initiative helps students explore how to stay safe, kind and responsible online through engaging stories and meaningful discussions. They read a new story called Paws and will complete lessons and have replicant conversations in classes following on from the story time.

Our Grade 6 student leaders recently travelled to Melbourne to attend the @halogenaus Young Leaders Conference. Throughout the day, they heard inspiring stories from Jacqui Bell, Adrian Beck, Catherine Laga’aia, and Nick Hudson. Each shared their journeys, including their successes and challenges, and the qualities they’ve drawn on to achieve their goals.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn, reflect, and grow as leaders 🌟 💡

World Maths day whole school activity yesterday was a tessellation of an orca. Our classes looked at Escher examples and discussed where in our world tessellations can be found. We love the final result!

We were lucky enough to welcome players from the Essendon Football Club for a quick Q&A session followed by a fun kick-to-kick at lunchtime. The excitement was buzzing as students had the chance to ask questions, learn more about life as an AFL player, and of course, show off their footy skills!

A huge thank you to our PE teacher Mrs. Stone for organising this wonderful opportunity for our students - a day they won’t forget anytime soon! 🙌
