Parent Association

At Mount Macedon we have fondly named our parent association 'Friends Of the School' better known as FOS.

FOS is coordinated by many parent volunteers with the committee runing many long standing events which raise funds for the school and create a social network.

We are always excited to have parents and extended family members volunteer in school activities, whether its assisting in the classroom, reading with the students, attending excursions, being a member of FOS or supporting events like the school fete, volunteer participation plays a key role in enriching our school community.

Prior to volunteering, it is necessary to complete the Volunteer OHS Induction that complies with the Department’s OHS requirements and helps ensure a safe environment for everyone. You can access the induction by scanning the QR code found:

Sensory Garden

We are thrilled to share that our school now has a beautiful new sensory garden, lovingly created with the support of our wonderful parent community.

This special space has been designed to delight the senses with plants that smell sweet, look vibrant, and gently move in the wind. The garden will also attract local wildlife, while being low-maintenance and visually calming—perfect for both our students and the wider community to enjoy.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the Taylor family, owners of Riddells Creek Nursery, for their generosity in providing the plants at a heavily discounted price. Your continued support of our school is deeply appreciated, and we are so grateful for your kindness in helping to make this project possible.

This garden will be a place of joy, exploration, and learning for years to come.
